On Thursday 19th and Friday 20th April 2012, the Wellington College AS and A2 Politics classes both visited Queen’s University Belfast to hear a series of lectures on the core subject areas for their A-Level study. The Year 13 AS class attended two lectures on the ‘Government and Politics of Northern Ireland’, which examined the working of the Assembly and the party system within Northern Ireland. The Year 14 A2 class then went to lectures on ‘Definition of Power’ and ‘Theories of Power’, both of which added to their understanding of these important exam topics.
