It was that time of year again! The pupils in Years 8-10 who raised the most money last year for the English Department’s Read On charity event, were invited to visit the Daisy Lodge in Shimna Valley. We enjoy making this trip every year as it gives us the unique opportunity to see first-hand where our money goes to. It also serves as a fantastic form of motivation as each year we are inspired to try and raise even more money. Last year the Years 8-10 pupils raised an incredible £3,838! We hope to hit our target of £5,000 this year so we can do more to help the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children and to support their invaluable work. We thank them for the great day we had with them on Wednesday 17th September and look forward to seeing them again next year.
