On Friday 5th December the school took part in NSPCC’s Number Day. The purpose of the day was to raise awareness of the importance of numeracy and promote a positive attitude to maths, as well as raising money for NSPCC.

Students and staff took part in ‘Dress up for Digits’ which was a non-uniform day with the requirement that you must wear a number. Everyone made a brilliant effort with some students really putting thought into original costume ideas. A special mention must be made of Megan Thompson, Robbie Meng and Kacper Niemiec in 8JC; Naomi Ng in 9AK; Tom Stanfield, Nithin Sunny and Misa Cervenka in 8DC and Max Kennedy in 8CD.

Eight brave staff members took part in Test the Teacher at lunch time with Mr Cardwell and Mrs Stewart winning their respective quizzes. Special thanks to Mr Henry and Mr Girvin who bravely allowed themselves to be covered in whipped cream as a forfeit!

In total the school raised £700 for NSPCC which will be presented to them in an assembly at the end of January.
