Forty one pupils and four staff have just returned from a successful tour to Simione in Lake Garda, Italy.  The Girls 1stXI hockey team and the boy’s 1stXV rugby team made up the touring party with both teams playing two competitive matches.  The girls lost to HCF Villafranca and went down 4-2 to HC Argentia Matersana with Lisa Faloon and Shannon Johnston Wood getting the Wellington goals.  The boys had a 38-15 win against Rugby Fiumicello with Joshua Garnham bagging a hat-trick of tries.   This was backed up with a convincing 33-0 win against CUS PISA with Jonny Dunlop getting man of the match.

Amongst other things the touring party enjoyed a day trip to Gardaland theme park along with training sessions and sightseeing in Sirmione and Pisa.  The tour was a great success in raising sporting performance and bringing the teams closer together.
