On Friday 25th October 2013, Wellington College supported the ‘National - Wear it Pink Day’, which looks to raise awareness of cancer and to collect money for the Breast Cancer Campaign and the National Hereditary Breast Cancer Helpline. The whole school assembly was based around the ‘Wear it Pink Day’ and saw a stunning gymnastics routine from some 6th form students, under the tutelage of Caoimhe Browne, and a talk from one of our pupils – Nikita McFarland – who has first hand experience of this disease. The whole event was organised and overseen by Mrs Hazel Carson and the College hopes to the repeat the success of last year when we raised £1070.
