On Tuesday 7th January, Wellington College presented a cheque to Cardiac Risk in the Young for £14,800. This makes the amount raised by the College over the past three years a fantastic £25,800.

The reason behind all of this fundraising was the tragic death of pupil Sarah Booth in June 2010. It is a mark of the respect and affection that she inspired that we have raised all this money in her name. At a special assembly, we were delighted to have her parents with us as well as Joe Passmore from CRY and past pupils from Sarah's year group (all pictured above with Ms Cochrane). Our fundraising will contribute to have more young people scanned for cardiac problems so that they are spared potential complications in later life.

Well done to all involved!
