At the end of October as a part of our World’s Largest Lesson week, students and staff of Wellington College took practical action to tackle the problem of food poverty in our own area. In just one week we donated the following food items for Belfast charity Storehouse.
- 1272 tea bags
- 306 tins of fruit / veg and meat
- 114 bags of dried pasta
- 23 jars of pasta sauce
- 70 packets of crisps
- 28 packets of biscuits
- 19 boxes of cereal
- 6 cartons of long life milk
- 1 jar of coffee
- And... 1 packet of squashies!
Thanks to everyone involved for their generosity!
