We are delighted to welcome Mr David Castles as Principal of the College. David joins us from Heyford Park Free School in Oxfordshire where he was the founding Principal of a new school. Prior to this he was Head of Upper School at Aylesbury Grammar School in Buckinghamshire.  He has also worked at Reading School in Berkshire, as Head of Humanities and a boarding Housemaster.

David studied Geography at Oxford University and has an MBA in Education Leadership from University College London. He is a former pupil of Lurgan College.

Mr Castles said “I am delighted to join Wellington College and am greatly looking forward to meeting pupils and parents in the coming weeks. I will work with the leadership team and staff to build on the superb behaviour and engagement which pupils show, and ensure quality of teaching and exam outcomes are also excellent. I believe that great schools encourage all young people to be the best they can be, and I will work to ensure pupils at Wellington have a safe environment, an excellent standard of teaching, and develop the self-confidence and skills to be successful in life.”
