The Code Show NI is a pilot programme, using 1980’s 8 bit technology to enthuse KS3 to choose IT pathways at GCSE and as a career. The primary target audience of this event is KS3 pupils, primarily girls.

The premise is to spark an interest and encourage pupils to choose IT as a subject and career in a flourishing IT economy in NI.The NI Skills barometer indicates that there is a deficit in in IT qualifications and I’m hoping this event will help address that. 5000 students will be directly targeted over the next fortnight.

WCB IT Dept. Gareth O’Hare & Gemma Ross are looking forward to welcoming Gary from the Code Show, Rob from Allstate and all the pupils over the next fortnight.
