International Honours - Wellington College Belfast

International Honours is for those pupils both past and present who have represented Northern Ireland, Ulster, Ireland or Great Britain in their chosen sport. This could be at senior level or the various under age levels. All individuals have brought great honour on themselves as well as Wellington College.

In 2005-7 Wellington College was the only school in Northern Ireland who had the distinction of having past pupils represent football, hockey and rugby at international level. The three past pupils were Chris Brunt, Iain Lewers and Neil Best, this is an achievement that WCB are very proud of.

At one point in 2005 Wellington had four past pupils represented on the Ireland men’s hockey squad in coaching or playing roles – Chris Jackson, David Smyth, Andy Smyth and Iain Lewers.
